REVIEW BLITZ: THE WRIGHT MISTAKE by K.A. Linde

A new stand alone enemies-to-lovers romance by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde...

I spent six weeks screwing Austin Wright’s brains out and all I got was this broken heart.

He can’t be trusted. Not with my body or my heart. Yet, two years have passed and I still crave him like an addict needing a fix.

The last time we tried this, it nearly ruined me. I know I should run and never look back. But his dark haunted eyes and razor blade smile speak to my soul. His touch sets my body on fire. And we all know what happens when you light gasoline. Someone is bound to get burned.

A second chance might destroy us both.

Because everyone knows two wrongs don’t make a Wright.

My Review

Austin, Austin, Austin... you're a hot dude, but you're a mess.

When I started to read this book I was excited and curious. As you know, in the previous installment of this series the author showed a glance of what was coming next: A mistery and the insanely hot chemistry between Julia and Austin. Heidy and Emery were wondering what happened between their friend and Austin Wright but Julia didn't say a thing. So I was bitting my nails wanting to solve that mistery.

The story started and the insane chemistry was there. The sexual tension between Julia and Austin was so hot and so thick that you could felt it. I loved how the author developed every single angle of both character's personality without repare in details. All the good stuff about them were in the story, but also all the flaws, all the things that make them human and relatable.

Julia seems to has a strong personality, but she has some ghost from her past to fight with, and that battle affect how she interacts with people. She doesn't trust easily. She has been hurt and broken for someone with an addictive behavior, so when Austing Wright and his problem managing alcohol comes to her life she's not sure about letting him in.

Austin drinks to numb his feelings. And despite what everyone says, he think he can control his habit. He's wrong, though. But you can't be helped if you don't believe you need the help. And Austin is sure he doesn't need help because he think he hasn't any problem. But one day his world started to crumble. The things he took for granted weren't available for him. The woman he liked thought he was bad news. And then, the party stopped being fun.

Austin decide to prove his family was wrong about him and his habit. Also, he decide to ask Julia out and prove he can be different. He tried. Hard. But old habits are hard to leave behind. Flesh is weak, and temptation is everywhere. Then Austin has to face his fears, his problems and take some major decisions. All this while Julia's past come to haunt her.

I loved this book so much. It was intense, with some fun moments, a big display of friendship and family's love, but also filled with drama and uncertainty. The way the author describes Austin problem with alcohol, his personal battle and his support system was amazing and touching, and I hope that if the readers have similar problems at home they could use the inspiration and offer the help whom need it. Julia's strenght grows through the book, and I was touched for her personal journey to healing thanks to art.

As usual, the author offers some glances of what's next. Patrick, Morgan, Sutton... I hope to read more about them soon. Meanwhile, I invite you to read Austin's book. And if you haven't read The Wright Brother and The Wright Boss, you should try them too.
